Clinical Psychology

Clinical psychology aims to reduce psychological distress and to enhance and promote psychological well-being, using the best tried and tested methods from modern psychological studies.  A Clinical psychologist specialises in assessing, diagnosing and treating psychological and mental health problems.  The starting point usually involves a full assessment of your emotional and functional well being.  Then, by exploring your thoughts, emotions and behaviour, they will determine the underlying causes of your problems.

In terms of treatment a Clinical Psychologist will help you develop effective ways of controlling and coping with your difficulties and provide you with the training and practical support to enable you to achieve this.  Once you have completed your treatment plan we will formally evaluate the success of our interventions .

Clinical psychology can be instrumental in helping you to turn your life around.  But sometimes it's not enough. We combine our professional programme with prayer and Christian counselling, which makes for a winning formula.
